Apollo is just starting to go into his fall rut. This is the before picture where he still looks relatively sane.
It was so much fun to have kids at the farm yesterday! The little girl was so brave feeding the donkeys that were 10 times her size. I have some good little goat handlers in training here, I think.
The good mild-mannered goats I let out were Angel and Vivian. With all 20 on the other side of the fence, it was too intimidating for the kids to try to feed all of them at once! I got all of the goats treated in one day! I trimmed hooves, gave pour-on Ivermectin, trimmed urine-stained hair from all of them. I have twenty goats, and I have been staggering their shearing dates so I don't have do do them all in one weekend, but it was so nice to get them all tended to in one day. They are all so healthy and productive--it is wonderful to see them so happy.
