Did I mention I sold two goats? I have not sold any before and I'm so excited! I will miss these two big guys, but I know the home they are going to and they will have more individual attention at her house than I could possibly give them. Their new owner is a spinner and will appreciate their fleeces, as well as a farmer and animal trainer. I couldn't have picked a better home for them!
Spinning day at my house last Saturday was so much fun! Two new ladies came, and there were often as many as five conversations going at once. People who are enthusiastic about fiber arts and hand crafts are great to be around and so stimulating to one's creativity. It was a perfect cooler fall day to be cuddly indoors next to a big fire in the fireplace.
I brought my youngest doe, Angel, to work for our summer picnic last July to demonstrate how I process goat hair into yarn. She sure was a hit with the kids--a whole petting zoo in one animal!
Angora goats rule!
Thank you, Lord, for my job, my home, and goats!
